HSCVF’s Safe in Sound project (Local 2010) has worked closely with the local university and offered a fantastic opportunity for six students to become marketing volunteers for two months.
The volunteers organised awareness raising activities to promote health messages. They designed and produced posters to promote the project and its safety messages around alcohol and other substances, sexual health, and personal safety. The volunteers also organised two awareness raising events which gained local media coverage.
Offering an innovative blend of grants, business expertise and sector specific support for more than 100 local health and social care projects, the Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund (HSCVF) is delighted to be a runner-up in the prestigious DSC Social Change Awards 2011.
