Tune into BBC Somerset Breakfast Radio show tomorrow morning or BBC iPlayer to hear a news article about South Somerset Mind, a funded local grant scheme 2011 project.

South Somerset Mind is one of 51 organisations to receive funding from the HSCVF Local Grant Scheme 2011. This vital funding will help South Somerset Mind to enhance their work in their local community through the use of volunteers.

The HSCVF enables these organisations to increase their capacity in volunteering in the health, public health and social care sector.

Each successful organisation was selected for excellence in one of the following criteria:

• Patient-Led NHS;
• Delivering Better Health Outcomes;
• Improving Public Health; or
•  Improving Health and Social Care.
